Lecturers together with a group of about 20 students from the University of Saint Joseph visited GIF on 4th May and 11th December 2018, and met with Ms. Chu Un I, the Director of GIF, and Mr. Fong Iek Lou, the Functional Chief of Financial Intelligence Office (GIF).Director Chu firstly introduced the functions and daily work of GIF. Mr. Fong, the Functional Chief, then explained the relevant laws, regulations and knowledge related to anti-money laundering/ combating the financing of terrorism ('AML/CFT') to the young students. At the same time, participants also actively raised questions. GIF will continuously organize AML/CFT trainings and promotions to the public (including students and juveniles) through various channels, so that more Macau citizens can learn more on the risks and harms of money laundering.
