- The total number of STRs received by the Financial Intelligence Office of the Unitary Police Service in 2024 was 5,245, which had increased by 13.7% as compared with 2023. The change was mainly due to the increase in the number of STRs reported by the financial sector.
- STRs received from the financial sector and gaming sector constituted 20.9% and 73.2% of total respectively, whereas those received from other institutions constituted 5.9%.
- During 2024, the Financial Intelligence Office of the Unitary Police Service disseminated 142 STRs to the Public Prosecutions Office.
