In order to better prevent and combat money laundering crimes in Macao, and to enhance the effectiveness of anti-money laundering efforts, the Financial Intelligence Office (GIF) has been taking a proactive approach in communicating with various sectors. On 30th October 2020, the Executive Director and Vice President of ChongWa (Macao) Financial Asset Exchange Co., Ltd. (MOX) Ms. Tenny Ruan and Assistant General Manager Mr. Carlos Fan, along with two other representatives visited GIF and met with the Director of GIF Ms. Connie Chu, Deputy Director Ms. Priscilla Fong, and Functional Chief Ms. Ivy Vong.

Ms. Ruan gave a detailed introduction of MOX’s current business and the direction of future development. Ms. Chu provided valuable advice on MOX’s AML/CFT measures, and looked forward to future communication with MOX on the development of financial industry. The atmosphere of the meeting was cordial and achieved expected results.
