Being the coordinator of the AML/CFT Working Group, GIF organizes AML/CFT Working Group meetings every year to exchange recent trends and updates on AML/CFT with WG members. Following the three Working Group meetings and the 2nd round ML/TF Risk Assessment steering committee meeting that had been held in 2018, GIF held the first AML/CFT Working Group meeting on 27 February 2019, with more than 50 representatives from 15 departments of judicial, law enforcement and supervisory nature attending this meeting.

The director of GIF presided over the meeting and reported to the members about the progress of the 2nd round ML/TF Risk Assessment project and summarized the work achievements in 2018. Besides, the 2019 AML/CFT/CPF Action Plan drafted based on the “AML/CFT/CPF Strategic Plan 2016-2020 as well as the updated information after the submission of the first Follow-up Report of Macao SAR were also discussed in the meeting. GIF will continue to coordinate with various departments for the implementation of the relevant business plan.
